Thanks to all of you for your welcome !! It's nice to meet people with the same passion. Have somebody the option "active cruise control" already?

Yep.
A few of us have it.
I love it, but would like to have the option to switch the radar sensor off to use it like a regular CC sometimes, espacially in the city.

Wanted to have it on my 535d Touring also but at time of ordering (oct 2004) the combination of Active Cruise and HUD wasn't possible for the 535d

Dealer said it was a specific issue with 535d at that time and it had something to do with a new revision of Active Cruise coming up.

I think that you have receved a wrong information from your dealer !!
Check it, because my dealer was saying the same when i order my car and after checking myself with the importer, the dealer information was wrong.

Nope. You're dealer is wrong.
535d gets ACC with M-Tech bodykit only. HUD or not has nothing to do with it.
So, you can get a 535d with HUD and ACC, but you have to get the M-Tech bodykit too.

Dear Iceman,
I was thinking like that also before but finally, after checking those details with the importer, there is absolutly NO problem to order both HUD and ACC without M-Tech bodykit ! My car (i'm still waiting for, delevery on week 12), is a 535d touring with those option and without the M tech.

Regards,
Quickin

Damn! I guess a retrofit of ACC isn't gonna work...

Technically I have to agree, it is possible to do it. But in the BMW options it clearly says you can't order ACC without M-Tech bodykit.
I actually thought the probles is the exact opposite, that you can't order ACC WITH the M-Tech Bodykit, but according to the options list...
I knew that at the beginning it was not possible to order M-Tech with ACC, so it surprises me, that it now says you have to order ACC and M-Tech together if you want ACC...

I confirm what is said about the ACC on a 535d. I ordered a 535d recently and was faced to the problem. It was mentioned to me that the ACC needs absolutely the M front spoiler in order to have sufficient cooling for this engine.
I personally think that it is stupid to oblige customer to take the complete M package only to take benefit of the front M-spoiler, provided that ACC is not a "sporty" option at all. <_<
