Flashed MHD Stage 1
Finally got around to doing this.
the only mod I have right now is the dual intake cones. I want to replace the stock charge pipe and intercooler, any recommendations please let me know.
as far as the tune goes, I think that it's very fitting for the car. There is a difference in standard and sport mode when it comes to the overall feel, since the revs are held longer in sport mode. The power is considerably increased mostly on the lower rpm range and is very rewarding.

Do you have the stock E61 bumper?
The reason I ask is that a large intercooler works much better with the E60 M5 bumper and fenders. It allows for better airflow and opportunities to use air ducts to channel air into the intake. Check out Evan's build threads, he goes over the advantages of the E60 M5 front end on the E61 535xi.

Great!. So VRSF are great value, get the biggest one you can fit under the bumper. I opted for the 5.5 inch Intercooler because we have less room than the other N54 platforms. 7 Inch will work as well but will have to trim to fit,

That ARM one looks like a good one. Just keep in mind with the E61 wagon nothing works without modification, we have less room and less access, and have more heating issues so installing anything aftermarket is a challenge. Make sure you love buying tools and hogging the garage for weeks fitting things together and getting panels aligned. Find a good local shop and try to negotiate a flat installation fee. Even with pro mechanics it's a challenging platform.
