Note: the pics of the doors and rear seats show the nature brown fairly exact.
There is NO chrome strip between the foglights, it's just painted in the cars color.

Tyres are Pirelli P7's (non RFT) in size 225/55-16, larger rims 17"or 18" are coming but not yet decided which.

Nice car Eddy !

Really like the interior.
I am thinking of ordering exaktly this interior for my new car.
But do you know if there is any problems with "color rubbing" = Can you wear bluejeans without beeing afraid of making the seats blue. I?ve heard of coloring beeing a problem with light leather seats.

I was also thinking of the grey leather seats but at BMW they told me not to choose so light color for the seats.

Is this a problem

Well, I've done over 500km this week, but no signs of stains from any clothing yet.
I know that when you do a little maintenance on leather (2-3 times a year waxing/oiling the seats) will help a lot in keeping it tidy.

After all: if a BMW dealer warns to not choose an nature brown, grey or beige interior, what remains are only black and with the LCI dark blue.

Greets.

Great car.
Is the engine pleasant?
I got a 05' e61 530da.
At that time (2005) I didn't like the 525d (my previous car was a 2000 e39 530d).
And the interior panels of the doors are so nice, I truly don't like mine.

Veeery nice!

A few Q's:
- Are the plastic shields/covers on the front seat backrest black like w the old auburn or are they brown, as like with the beige interior?
- Is the armrest between front seats covered in black leather?

Mine will hopefully arrive at my dealer some day next week...*sigh* the wait is killing me..

Well, it's now the detuned 3.0 ltr engine, which could be the same as the 530d.
Now with 197 hp i'm not feeling that it's weak. in fact it can run with the Audi /VW 2.0 turbo petrol engine.

tried some topspeed this evening, bailed out at 215 kmh, at that point the 530d will be going further and faster

The backs of the seats are black, as well as the middle armrest an armrests in the doors. I'm happy with it because the beige interior
everything is beige, incl. the carpets. Not a smart choice when being at work on construction sites.

Alle armrests front + rear in the doors, and center armrest are black leather.

New discovered: when you move your finger in front of the 8 fav. buttons of the I drive, it will show in the screen what function it holds, without pressing (thus activating) the button. It's a kind of touch screen idea.

I know how it works: i ordered the car with black cloth, between import and arriving at the dealer the cloth is replaced in Holland for leather.
This is done at a specialist in Eindhoven who does the majority of BMW's and MB's delivered in Holland. They also do the show- and prototype cars for them.
In this way there is no tax on the lather since it not an oiginal factory option.

This is how my backrests are black and not brown. I must say, i like black better.

Ah, ok!
Actually, I was expecting my natural brown w black backrest...but the all-brown looks good to.
Thanks for the explanation
