.......the hammer has fallen.

Finally decided for this:

1 E61 525d 197 hp/400 nm
2 Colour spacegrau
3 sport seats
4 interior black dash, leather seats in porsche naturbrown (like E92's saddle brown)
5 navi pro
6 phone bluetooth
7 roofrails
8 m steering wheel
9 airbags rear
10 climate control adv.
11 sunscreens in the back
12 and of course cupholders (shame  on BMW for not being standard)
13 and almost forgotten it's a 6 manual transmission.

production march/delivery 2nd or 3rd week of march (so it's a facelift car)

I'll post pics when it's here.

It's my first diesel, so very curious.

Right, after all it's possible to chip it to ...?hp with less risk (the 525d is a downtuned 530d (I think))

Exactily (more or less) what I'll be buying, engine wise. Transmission, it will be an AT (95% urban)...

Curious, like eddy, about the chipping potential of this particular engine...

I know it's difficult, I choose between en A6 2.7d (? 5000 cheaper) and the 525d, but the BMW was a little more compact and muscle to look at. Also wanted a 530d but price difference to the 525d was about ? 6000,-, and given the fact that all turbo engines can be chipped, I choose the middle off the road.

It cost something, but you get something.

Good choice, apart from the manual.

Big diesels drive better with automatic gearboxes. I?d reconsider.

Not sure if it's simply a 530d engine with a different map but you should be able to extract 240hp without much issue...

I know, but with ? 71k it was quite expensive enough, auto should add another ? 2800,- so somewhere i had to stop.

Besides, as a real Dutch I have a caravan, so manual is good enough for me.
