Starting to know my car a little better than I perhaps should, I tried to be somewhat proactive this time and send the car to the closest dealer before a new break down...

So, Friday last wek I rang and said that I felt the same kind of "coughing" from the engine as was the case before previous incident a couple of weeks ago, and with the car's track record they of course accepted that the car should go back. Again... I suppose I'm soon to be famous at BMW Mobile Care, at least I'm known at Sixt - I even got the same loaner (E61 523iA, Silver Grey) as last time!

Seriously, I've involved the dealer where I bought the car and I have in a way started a process that either ends with a car that works or I have to order a new one.

What have the dealer done to the car when in was in the workshop all these times? (5 times!!! )
Have they uppgrade the ECU every time hand hope that will work or...

I think I would pay someone to put the car into a wall and get a new one from the insurance
Bmw sould get you a new one NOW!
Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

BTW. Any snow???? Here it?s snow in the air but nothing on the ground! (summer wheels on )

Snow? Too much, I would say. My loaner had summer tyres on ("we thought it wouldn't be any winter", Sixt) so the ride back over the Bridge and on the motorways yesterday was not fun at all.

Oh, by the way - the car's back!

This time they changed what I thought they should have changed the first time - the injectors (and also the spark plugs). Time will tell whether I was right or not. But it drove very nicely on the way home. Probably the car is home sick too after some total 22 days at the garage.

Just came home from a nice trip down to L?beck - so far no problems. The car works great and I hope it stays that way! Would be nice to call the dealer for a scheduled service once...
