My 2006 530xiT was totalled over a month ago. It was a nice wagon and I love the way it drove, but it was pretty much a base model. I've been searching for something that would be a bit more special. I gave up on manual due to the high premium. I was also avoiding importing, but more and more of the nicest car where showing up in Canada, so...

I've just signed a contract on a single owner 2009 535i xDrive wagon in Toronto, which I found at a BMW dealer. The car is almost an identical twin to the one currently for sale in Vancouver (earlier in this thread). The dealer was able to get the letter of compliance in one day. Now I'm working with an importer in Buffalo to complete the rest of the necessary paperwork. The process is not nearly as difficult or expensive as I expected. But I'll write up the full details once I pick up the car and drive it across, which won't be until after Thanksgiving.

I like the roof bar delete, but I do put a Thule roof box on when we travel. My two dogs get to ride in the back. I'll have to sell my Yakima Whisperbars and pick up some new bars with gutterless mounts. I'm not a fan of those but I'd rather have the roof bar delete.
