Hi all,

Just picked up a new to me 2008 535xi with the msport pack.

The car was spec'ed without roof rails, and predictably, I need to ran a roof rack.

Question is, will a roof rack designed for a e60 fit my wagon? I understand they mount near the door seal,in a small recess.

Any help is appreciated, pics to follow!

If you check Thule's website configurator actually, it asks you if you have roof rails or not, then makes a suggestion what you need.

For the next person that searches:

The E61 (assuming no roof rails) and the e60 list the same part numbers for the feet. I think this makes it a safe bet that the regular e60 roof bars will fit a bare roof e61.

Please post pics when you get the roof rack installed. After all the trouble I went through to delete my roof rails I've toyed with the idea of getting a cargo box.

 

Apologies for reviving an old thread. Is anyone running the Thule roof bars with the 1325 foot kit?

Thule claims that this fits both the E60 and E61. I have an older set of Thule Rapid Aero bars but need a foot kit for the E61.

Realoem has two different part numbers for the OEM roof rack, and as this thread shows the OEM E60 rack does not fit the E61.
