Hi,

I need your help too. A friend wants to give me a set of M184 rims (BMW part 36 11 2 282 990) with 245/40/R18 Y tires. Unfortunately, the offset is 14 instead of 20 like normally for E61. Do you believe that I will be able to use them? Thank you for your expertise.

Yes they will fit without any problems. if he wanted, he could add 14 mm spacers in the rear so that it looks more aggressive but he would also be ok without any spacers..

I promise to post el piccies this week, the wife dragged my sorry ass shopping today followed by strict orders to cut the grass and tidy the garden. The wheels look the biz, apart from low pressure warnings the whole journey and 3 stops just to check that the tyre hadnt fallen of and I was riding on the rim - its all OK..

have you tried going into the tyre pressure setup menu in idrive and accept that the pressure is ok on the car? you have to do that while the engine is turned off, or atleast while you are standing.

regarding the pressure. dunlop for example recommend:

245/35R 19 93Y 2.9 / 2.5 275/30R 19 96Y 3.3 / 2.7

HOWEVER, I have experienced that if you use these numbers, the wear in the middle is just too much. so what i currently have is 2,5 front and rear. wear seems to be so much more constant..

hope this was of some help..
