Since he doesnt want to screw around with the homologation he will probably stick with 18 inch. So 19 wont be an option. I dont know whether the 184 is available in 18 inch OEM. Otherwise he can still go for the 124's which are nice too and easier to keep clean. The dealer will probably agree on changing them for the 135M's without adding any money.

My Ride: E61 - 525Da with sports pack & some more stuff (color = carbon black with kastanjebraun leather)
Ok,
maybe it's not the correct word, I don't know for sure,
but the meaning here in Belgium is as follows
if your rimms / tires are "homologated" they will be able to pass when going to the yearly testing centre where we have to go after the car is 4 years old.
Insurance is not a problem.
I called up my dealer and he say's that they have had already some people where non homologated rimms/wheels were rubbing and 'destroying' the car. He however suggested to bring some wheels, same size
and they would fit this under an e61 to see if it's ok or not.
btw this is a pic of 18" M5 style rimms (do they look ugly ?)
