Model Year: 2006
Engine: N52
E61 Rear Quarter Window Sun Shade Removal
Has anyone removed the vertical housing that holds the quarter window shade from their E61 (without breaking anything)?
The only diagrams I've found are for the E60. One shows upper and lower clips, and states that the upper clip can be pried upwards to release the shade.
I can look into the housing thru the shade slot, and actually see the upper and lower screws, and neither of them is holding a clip.
UPDATE - I just ran across a pdf (again an E60) that shows prying the housing off from the leading edge (no screws involved), but it hasn't budged so far.
I'm afraid it's going to break. What's the trick?
