Hi,
I have a 56 plate e61, it originaly had non sat nav with aux input where I could plug phone in and use it with the mic which I discovered was already fitted. Now with my retrofit sat nav pro unit fitted I want to install the Bluetooth TCU. Is my car pre-wired and where is the install location on a E61?
Thanks in advance!

install location is in the boot under the floor against the back seat on the left hand side; you need to open the floor cover and remove the storage compartment above the spare wheel. You then should be able to see the install location pretty easy; there is quite some wiring involved, so you will not miss it if the car's pre wired.
you will have to program the car to add bluetooth if that has not already been done.
An alternative - possibly cheaper - that will also offer you bluetooth music streaming would be a Dension Gateway 500 + BTA 1500 bluetooth module.
Cheers & good luck
