Hi folks
i have a leaking rear air suspension bag
How hard are they to change
are they easy enough for a moderately skilled enthusiast
Are ther any danger points I should be aware of
Are there any special tools required
Thanks folks. Your advice is appreciated

They are fairly easy to replace. Just like changing out an strut assembly. No special tools needed. Are you sure it the bag leaking and not the line or pump that's the issue

Thanks for your reply and very good point
The compressor is running fine and the nearside airbag is functioning as it should.
However, as you mention it could be the line so I will check before I order an airbag
Thanks for your advice

I have a bit more information to see if you can help please.
The car is slammed to the ground now
The compressor runs when called for
Both air bags inflate, but don’t get rock hard (I am able to squeeze them a little)
However, they don’t seem to get hard enough to lift the car and the pump cuts out.
there doesn’t appear to be any leaks
I have checked the ride height switches and they call for the pump when activated
I can’t get the suspension to rise
- Could the compressor be failing and not able to achieve full pressure?
- There is a non return valve on the intake air. Could that be failing? (Although it doesn’t seem to be letting air out and the pipe isn’t crushed in any way)
Thanks in advance
Paul

Verify the bags are not leaking. It seems to be a failing pump if there is no leak in the system. Do you have a compressor to verify.

Hi. Thanks for your reply
I suspect a failing pump so have ordered a repair kit
Im fairly sure the bags are ok but can’t say for sure unless I take them out and inflate manually and check for leaks.
if I have to take them out though, I will replace them to eliminate them
Thanks
