I'm in over my head. Bought my 520D E61 2010 about 3 months ago and immediately had problems with the trunk wiring. Replaced them myself without a loom and ended up having more issues than before. Today I used a aftermarket loom set, but it didn't fix anything but the radio. Now my backup lights, brake light on the right, window switch and trunk switch don't work. Replaced all of the connections but it didn't help. Tried to find info on fuses but no help there either.

Any help is much appreciated!!!

 

How far 'back' did you make the repair? You usually have to go past the gate hinges up into the rear section of the headliner.

I have to do mine too. I'm lucky that only the hatch window doesn't work.

 

Update!

changing around the ground wires seemed to fix most of the issues. Same fix did not help with the third brake light nor the radio, still trying to figure them out. Don't really know how this fixed the issue
