Cooling fan running constant

My Ride: 525i E61 LCI auto, pro media, memory seats , pano roof, power fold mirrors, extended interior light pack, visibility pack, sun protect windows, 172 spiders.

My radiator fan seems to be running constantly from about 5 seconds after firing the engine. At least I think it's the fan, definitely sounds like a fan! Is this normal, the car is a 525i 3 litre lci.

If your AC is switched on the fan may well constantly.

As has been said, it's the air conditioning fan that's runs constantly, not the radiator fan. When you switch off the car you can sometimes hear it spooling down.
