E60 into E61 interior swap
Did you ever do this?
How much differential did you encounter?
Would love to pursue this with my 2008

Hey all,
As the title states I am considering swapping most of the beige interior in my e61 with a friends black e60. Basically everything below the windows and from the rear seat backs forward. This would mean I would have to pick up the last few prices from a junkyard.
Wanted your thoughts. Anyone done this? I really prefer the black interior and I can cover the roof lining down the road.

My Ride: 05' E61 535d M Sport, carbonscwarz metallic, retrofitted w/ sepang bronze cooled, heated, active backrest "M multifunction" M5 interior. Logic7, LCI tails, style 135 rims, HUD.

Even if the rear seat is fold down, you need to re trim the rear seat, because the sedan seats are about two inches taller but an inch narrower. I recently installed a e60 interior into my e61 and had to make 1 rear seat set from two, as I also intended to keep the heated mats and the m5 specific extra stitching, that is not present on the e61. Its not 100% perfect, but its there and has almost all of the original leather. It was not a possibility to find a e61 seat back in that Sepang Bronze perforated leather, so I had to improvise. (To my knowledge there are about 10 e61 M5s with this interior)
