I have a clicking noise coming from my front LH wheel when turning. I presume its the uni or cv joint and rubber cover that will need replacing. We only have around 50,000 Klm on the car as we live on an Island off Australia. Quit some time back the local mainland dealer told us that the rubbers were perished but to my own detriment I couldn't wait for them to get replacements in and fitted before we returned home. Anyway to cut a long story short can any one recommend a place in the USA or elsewhere where I can sorce reasonably priced OEM parts? I know a guy here who gets wheels and tyres in from the USA for less than we pay for tyres only. Any assistance appreciated Tom

It sounds like you have an AWD version? If that is in fact the case and you have a perished CV joint boot you need to get it sorted ASAP - any dirt entering the joint will quickly wear it out and then you'll need not just the boot but the joint as well.

As far as online parts try www.pelicanparts.com - you may need to get the part numbers you need from bmwfans.info

Is the clicking related to turning the steering wheel or to the rotation of the road wheel?
