CD Multichanger

My Ride: E60 525d Sport Touring Auto. Media pack; folding mirrors; panoramic sunroof; Titanium Silver with black Dakota leather and maple wood
All the family are thoroughly enjoying my month-old E61. One issue has the kids concerned, however.
All my previous cars with multi-CD players had a facility for random play which operated across the entire stack so you never knew which artist or song was coming next. This car does not have this and the only random play seems to be the order in which tracks are played on individual CDs.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change this (software upgrade?) or if I have missed something obvious.

NPY (actually, no longer true as I just got my first "pull" and 3 automatic points after 30 unblemished years!)

I'don't know as I don't have multichanger - have you looked in the manual? Seems a pity if it doesn't have random play all CD.
I'm sure someone on this board will have the answer for you.
