If you purchase 166's in M5 offsetts, they would be
- 8,5 x 19 Front ET 12
- 9,5 x 19 Rear ET 28 --> 10-12mm spacers would make it look better
And if in M6 offsetts, then it would be
8,5 x 19 Front ET 12
9,5 x 19 Rear ET 17 --> no spacers needed

Or just buy 4 front M5 166 M wheels (ET 12), and then there is no need for spacers.

thanks, looks great with the 166, have just had the car DMS'd and need some wider/stickier rubber on the back and can't decide between 166 or 172 wheels, the M6 wheels are a maybe. One thing that puts me off the 166 is the likely cost of rear tires!

(I swapped on the E61 because I also have the 19" type 128 for winter and just went for rims with the same ET size (ET32) to avoid the hassle with having to swap spacers each season.) As for the tyres, you should be using the 275s on either on the rear, so the decision should just come down to which rim you prefer
I think it's going to be the 166, any recommendations for best place to purchase? I've seen genuine refurbed rims on ebay for ?750 + tyres of course, also any recommendations on tyre?
