Installed a BMS Power Box on the 530 and must admit I really like the new throttle response it provides. It provides a nice sharper pedal feel and makes the car much more enjoyable to drive, sportier feel. On the plus side the wife hasn't noticed which means that unless you drive in a spirited fashion the unit performs in pretty much stealth mode in light to mild acceleration throttle input

In case some of you have no idea what I'm talking about:

Good to hear you are enjoying the chip
To me it sounds more like an alternative to the Sprint Booster or do you actually feel an power / torque gains?
What is the setting changes function like, is it obvious which of the 7 modes you are in?

I'm not sure how much power gains are really felt but the throttle response makes the car more lively (therfore feels faster!). I haven't really played with the various maps as this is my wifes car and don't drive it daily. It is set on map 3 currently wich takes advantage to the fullest of the power and throttle settings.

In time I will have time to play with the other settings.

It's a pretty good alternative to Velocity or Sprint V2 boosters as they are between $4-500 where the BMS is $279 for exactly the same throttle response.

That's correct.

BMS Powerbox is a great modification that features pure plug and play installation. It offers 7 available maps which you can switch right from the driver's seat. It's a great little tool to increase throttle response and gain a bit of power.

Currently, these units are available for N51 & N52 motors.

It's not a plug and play install compared to my Procede V3 install in my 335i but still not too bad to be honest.

I drove the car a little more then usual this past week and I find myself wanting to be in sport mode all the time compared to before (yes it's an auto!).

Again overall for the money very hard mod to not do!!!

The install can be done within 30 minutes by most owners who are decently mechanically inclined.

As for the power increases and MPG increases, I would allow at least 250-300 miles for your car's ECU to relearn the STFT (Short term fuel trims) and the LTFT (Long term fuel trims). This is most likely why the OP is experiencing more and more increases in throttle response and power as the car starts learning the new parameters set forth by the BMS Powerbox unit that is attached.

We have these in-stock and available for your N52-equipped BMW.
