There's no software to manipulate the battery usage data from my knowledge. If you are planning to do work on your car that will delete battery history it's best to do it in the first few months. If battery history is deleted on an older battery it's best to replace it or risk of over charging. BMWs only charge batteries to 70%-85% depending on driving style and time (this leaves room for error) but charges the battery more aggressively the older the battery gets.

Thanks for mentioning this. Just this morning I sent a support request to MHD to see if it's a known issue or if they have a fix for erased battery registrations. Last spring I flashed MHD stage 1 to my N54 and later noticed my battery registration was gone. Fortunately it was only a couple months old. There was an MHD update this summer and they suggest reflashing but I haven't, for this reason.

I heard back from MHD this morning and I quote directly after asking if flashing will erase battery registrations:
no sir and MHD can not do that, we flash the DME, the battery registration is in other modules
So was it a fluke that my battery registration was erased? Can anyone else verify this has happened to them?

LoL. This is funny. The prime reason I don't do the phone apps. They don't even know what's in the CAS and what is held in the DME. Both work together to identify the battery type, registration and battery/charging health. The CAS holds the battery Class and the DME holds registration data. The IBS sends battery data (battery charging and health state) to the DME where the data constantly is updated and held. They should know this and they are designing an app for others to use. 😂
