2010 535xi converting dials from MPH to KPH?
Just curious what this would entail and how much it would cost to do? I live in Canada and am considering bringing in a 2010 535xi from the States.
Anyone have experience with this?

It doesn't bother me, more for my wife. The speedo has both but MPH is large and prominent and KPH is much smaller. Basically if it's relatively easy to convert then I'd do it, I just don't know how involved it is.

I believe there are overlays you can buy. Here is a thread from several years ago that discusses the issue.

I don’t know about the quality of overlays, but you should also be able retrofit a used KPH cluster if they’re not to your liking. I’ve retrofit clusters between e6x’s, and it’s actually fairly easy. I haven’t done a MPH to KPH cluster, but it should follow the standard pattern. Buy a used KPH cluster (usually <$100 on eBay), reset mileage, flash VIN, install in car and code appropriate options.
While you’re at it, you could find an M5 cluster and get oil temp rather than the fuel economy.
One drawback to this approach would be a VO/coding/firmware mismatch unless you meticulously change the VO, so you’d need to be careful letting the dealer do any future programming on your car.

You could use Carly to code the digital speedometer in the center, change your settings (in iDrive) to KM and voala! Much cheaper and quicker way to get KM all the time. I have mine to show Celsius all the time.
PS, I'm selling my E61...just saying
