I had the Eisenmann rep tips already so those will go on or I might put some other tips on. Haven't decided yet. I'm also going to have them make the tips removable just in case I decide to powdercoat them. This mod has been long over due. I think I've had the M5 rear on for 9 months so I'm excited to see this all done.

Awesome thread guys, just read the whole thing. I did a very similar exhaust setup last year also. I kept the stock resonators, used the magnaflow 2in/2out #11385 muffler, had the pipes come to matching jones exhaust perforated turbo tubes and quad tips. I used Bimmer32's setup as a foundation based on the research I did on this forum.

The difference between mine and west's setup is that I used the jones turbo tubes rather than the 10425 exhausts. I didn't know about those exhausts and had happened to find the turbo tubes for about $20 a piece.

Looks good. I think the main difference between the Jones resonator and the Magnaflow is the length. As for the packing material, I'm unsure of what the Jones uses however the higher quality resonators use steel wool around the perforated tube along with traditional packing material around the steel wool. This helps with sound and also makes the resonator last a lot longer.
On a side note, the 11385 muffler is not really a 2.25", only the outside piping. Internally it uses 2.50" piping and has a built-in x-pipe (another reason I'm using this muffler).
