Gas mileage doesnt concern me, because the 550 isnt much better......
550 mileage isn't great but figure on using at least 40% more fuel in an M5.

Check out the listings on Cars.com today ... there are now a dozen E60 M5s listed for sale below $60,000. That was fast.

And many of them are in the Chicago area. Hmmmm, time to go shopping?

WOW, so it looks like in 10 months when my lease is up, I should definitely find an 06 M5 in the low 50k $ range. I really want black exterior with either merino red or silverstone interior...

I'd go with the Indianapolis Red interior. Make sure you get the full perforated merino with alcantara headliner.

Mine's black interior but I think the red makes it a bit more exotic.

WOW I just found one for $53,900.00...In 10 months I should be able to pick one up for around 48-49k....
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp;?...leadExists=true
Now it really doesnt make sense to buyout my 550 for $42500.00.....

I don't know if I'd want to buy that one or not with the iDrive displaying "Increased emissions!" on the screen.

Just make sure you watch out for cars with SMG and VANOS problems. A lot of the lower priced cars are lemon-law buy backs.

Ditto that
