I'm at a loss to understand why Kevin's question is flameworthy. He came to this forum of car enthusiasts asking for opinions on his dream car purchase (or at least to share his enthusiasm about it).
I assume that if Kevin has the means to buy these kind of baller cars, he's a shrewd guy and no fool. I would be shocked if he wouldn't test drive these rides prior to plunking down that kind of cash. If he did, that's flameworthy.
Under $150k, among new 2 door sport cars, the killer ones, to me, are the R8, the 911 Turbo, the Corvette ZR1 or Z06 and the GT-R.
I totally agree that if Kevin wants first hand experience by people who drive these kind of cars, he won't find many members here with personal knowledge. The place to go for those cars is exoticsrally.com. That is a big online community largely of NY area supercar owners. It's a pretty active place.

That is going to be one gorgeous ride. I've always dug the R8 and with the V10, you are getting just about Gallardo level performance at a much lower price point. R8s are special cars. Should make for quite a killer in the twisties.

I personally do not like the R8. I don't think it looks that sexy, which is why I think it didn't get much attention at the Exotics Rally.

The R8 at the last Exotics Rally Turkey Run didn't get much looks from other owners, but then again, the crowd that car was up against made it look like a Yugo.

R8 is a sexy car but if you got that much money to spend on a car, why not just spend a little extra money and get an Aston Martin DBS. Hands down it is sexier than the R8. That or a Lamborghini LP670-4 SV . But if you don't have that extra money, V10 Audi R8 is a safe bet. Goodluck with your purchase.

Big difference between $146K for the R8 V10 and $266K base for the DBS and $450K base for the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV. There's baller money and then there's BALLER money.
