i would like to replace my own microfilter. the dealer wants 211 to do it. but i hate looking at a warning indicator. i asked the dealer if they would reset it and they said they could not without changing it. yes, i know. that is it for this guy. but i figure someone has figured away around that issue.
anyone seen anything on clearing the service lights? can not find search on this forum for some reason.
Thanks
dog

I read you need to first clear the odometer reading to "0" and turn the ignition key back off. Next you need to turn the ignition switch back to the "2" position (last position before you crank) while simultaneously depressing and holding the odometer button until you see "service" and it will scroll through and you'll see the filter icon appear. Once you see it, release and depress the odometer button again, holding it until you see "Reset" appear. Release, depress and hold again and you should see it reset to 7000 (I think). Turn off the ignition switch and when you start the car, it should be good to go. You can also check it in the idrive under service section by scrolling down to the microfilter where you should see "ok". Hope that helps!
