Ok guys and girls. Due to some requests I'm adding the whole project log here as well.

As you will notice, I'm a photo freak, but I guess it's not a bad thing in this kind of subject . Also, you will notice that some of the project pics are not only about the project itself, but about some other things as well . Older members already know my little helper, and those of you who don't, please don't take him (and the fact that I'm using so much time in photoing this process) too seriously. After all, I think this forum needs a little cheer up .

Some stuff that I removed and collected from the ex-car
- Focal Solid 1 mono amplifier for the subwoofer + remote controller
- Hi/Low converter harness
- +12V and ground cables
- new iDrive knob
- full interior LED kit (from Motorcepts)

This is my co-driver Flat Eric. He's a true car enthusiast. Probably a bit short-tempered, though haha!

Here he's checking the CF side grilles that we saved from my previous car.

Yes, they seem to be allright.

Fits like a glove, Eric thinks!

My winter wheel setup came from my ex car (530d):
- AvantGarde M359 9x19 all around
- Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 245/40 R19

They got a nice protecting treatment before the winter; two layers of Finish Kare 1000P sealant.

Some new parts arrived.

I'm not even sure if he can read lol!

Sometimes he gets too excited!

Hold it just for few seconds so that I get a pic, ok!!!

Yes, you're right Eric, they're OEM pedals.

I like it too!

Feeling like a winner, ha?

A BIG cup of coffee for him (notice the official BMW mug)...

...was maybe bit too much! What a rage against the carton!

Sweet! CF grilles! I'm not sure if I like the protruding bars, though...

No, Eric. Ripping stuff apart isn't always the one and only solution...

So you're suggesting we could use OEM bars with it? Hmmm... possibly.

I think I like the gloss black badge better...? What about you?

And who's going to install that all?

Oh...I see.

Then I needed the MP3 feature to be enabled on CCC. I got this done with NCSExpert and with some help from a friend of mine. Eric was pissed because he was left outside from this.

- "Hmmm... Everything seems to be like it should be with this package." Eric thinks.

- "I know these things you know!"

- "Eric, please let me help you so that you don't brake anything."
- "Get out of here messing things up!"

- "I can do this..."

- "Haha! Like this!"

- "Ummh... what's this cable?"

- "It's an optical..."
- "Now get the h*ll out of my sight you!"

- "Don't get upset, Eric... no need to."
- "Keep it! Keep it all you moron!"

- "God d**n it!!!"

...Later that night....

Installing iPod interface. A short description about what I did.

OEM 6cdc in its place. The first thing is to remove the covering plate. Just open the thumb screws on left and right.

Then open the little TORX screws under the tiny plastic flaps.

Pulling the cdc out.

The harness removed.

OEM interface was just a plug&play!

Getting it fixed with the material that came with the interface.

Not the prettiest thing probably, but holds!

The plastic cover put back. I might order a smaller cover to hide the interface.

Everything works like it should! No other coding needed than enabling the MP3 on the CCC.
