you should drive one. it will make you want it even more i promise. btw, i cant believe you can get a car like this for ?30k. wow! that will have to be an early one for sure. what sort of mileage would they typically have for that cash?

Well this one has 51k but is under 3 years old and is ?29k
http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details...SNB92060BE18449

This one has 32k and is ?31.5k just over 3 years old
http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details...SNB92080BE18579

Remember both these cars are from BMW dealers and the market is very hard for cars with this low MPG

Trust me I'll be driving one as soon as I can ;-)

TBF neither ticks my boxes given my only 2 requirements but at least I know i'm in the right ball park.

Yeah agreed I never expected to be able to afford one either but at ?30k I think they are a bargain :-)

you say that (re options), but it's worth calling them as i've found historically that dealers in the UK do not put on their website the full extent of the options list for their cars. the last 2 cars i bought from them (both E60's), had plenty missing from the website. on my 545i they missed out that it had the "service inclusive" option, and that's a massive option. and on my M5, bluetooth and extended voice control weren't listed.

Thanks Jay.

I'm going to be cool and not get ahead of myself..I'll keep looking casually but won't do anything too involved until I've driven one.

I'm trying to keep my excitement under control LOL

just be aware then, that the second you try one, you won't be able stop yourself. really seriously, it's just soooooooooo addictive, the acceleration, the noise. haha. you'll want to part with the money there and then.

As Jay has said, "Driving is beleiving", I went from an M3 to the M5 and wow what a difference, the car is absolutely crazy, youll never want to part with it once youve driven one.

Mines just 2 years old with 16,000k on and drives like a dream, it cost me 40K but has loads of extras on, plus once youve driven it you will want more and more sooooooooooooooo- then get it remapped for a bit of extra poke, Jay and me have had it done wahhhhhhhheee.

Sod it, off for a spin now youve got me worked up.
