What is the exhaust like?? I have been looking at doing a dual-quad system.? I like the sound of the Hamann but did not like the way they routed the pipes.

My BMW Service Director who seems to pretty pretty knowledgeable and is linked with Dinan has said that the only exhaust muffler that properly flows is the ACS.

Personally, I like the round tips, but whats your opinion of the exhaust routing, sound and performance.

No, that is why I am asking the question on the forum to get other advice and opinons. I have seen and heard the Hamann system and like it. So, when someone says that ACS is the only one designed properly it raises a flag, especially someone who has a relationship and contacts with Dinan, who seems pretty well respected.

The thing that still bothers me about the Hamann, which I am trying to get a straight answer on, is that the dual quad system is not. It is a single muffler system with a little pipe connecting the right side to give you some sound.

I would think, running two pipes from the resonator to two mufflers would be the way to go. Some say there is no room, but I am not positive about that.

The answer I received from the Hamann distributor in the US is that you would have too low of backpressure. I have a hard time believing that with a cat and resonator, that a free flowing system from the resonator back would be bad.

However, Eisenmann just runs a pipe with two tips to the right side, so maybe there is something to maintaining some degree of backpressure in the mufflers.

So, what does ACS do?

That front lip would last about a week before being ripped off on a speedbump or a curb.
