I just bought a new M5 with SMG and when I shift from 1st to 2nd. Sometimes it will blink before it shift into 2nd. it only happens from 1st to 2nd about 50% of the time. I am talking about normal driving since it is still under break in period.

occasionally it can happen, usually if you are shifting too soon - too low in the RPM band in 1st when the car is cold.

happens to me all the time all the way to like 3 or 4th gear...

I've asked before when i first got the car but dont recall getting an answer like m630's I think its normal.

I remember your original ask, it rarely happens in my car, less than a handful of times over the past year, the only times i've ever experienced it was as I had described, shifting quick down low out of 1st into 2nd when its cold and i've just started the beast for the first time of the day, otherwise i've never experienced it...

thanks, yeah I notice if I shift around 4k+ rpm it doesn't do that as much. And it happens more when cold.
