Today, I followed an M5 with FL license plates here. The guy had absolutely no clue how to drive. He cut off 2 drivers (I saw their brkae lights go on when he changes lanes into them), he slowed down below the speed limit for no reason in heavy traffic, the accelerated again, NEVER used his turn signals, etc. No wonder many people dislike BMWs.
BMW should have a minimum requirement for the IQ and should require some basic driving skills...

ok...to m5s perhaps were a little (A LOT) less....
its not the car its the person...im sure once that guy has a new car he will look at e60 m5s the same way....
some people are like that..they look at everybody like there less...and some think there always better...
here people with maximas think they have ferraris... its true...
so what if your car is faster or biger...i love mine more...

My experience is that all young BMW drivers who drive a rented BMW are arrogant. Doesent matter what BMW YOU (WE) will drive they always pretend theyre sooooo cool and the best and we?re nothing.

Dont think about. All real BMW drivers I know - especialy those who own the big ones - are everything but arrogant. They work hard for their money and they don?t show their money expect the car. All were very friendly to me. Have good experiences with other BMW drivers.

If I owned an M5 I think I would not be a dick about it but I would be flooring the gas pedal at every single redlight there is Since I own a 530 I dont get intimidated by seeing M5 guys near me, instead I get excited and give them a thumbs up and a smile. I dont think its dick by having an m5 owner pealing out bad next to a 525. Sounds like someone just wants an m5
You have some strong points there. If i owned an m5 i would probably do the same untill i start to (like another member said) fireing up 100$ bills on the window because of the consumption.
In the rest you are right.

Absolutely not.
I've known a couple of people who drive cars worth approximately $20,000 more than my [lowly] e60, yet they drive them home and park it in the garage of the crappy apartment they are renting.

You would cry if you knew what Bill Gates is driving.

LOL! Don't knock the "renting" you don't know the circumstances that may have led to that. I just moved down to San Diego, an E60 will get you a down payment on a lovely 700 sq. ft. one-bedroom condo downtown, even less in Santa Barbara! If you're going knock the renting of an apartment, put leasing a vehicle in the same category, heh heh.
