My Ride: 2004 545iA - Built date 09/03, Sport Package, Alpine White III, Grey Interior, Cold Weather Package, PDC, Rear Electric Sunshades, Comfort Seats, Logic 7, Chromed BMW Style 124 18x8, 18x9 Wheels, M-Tech Aero Kit, Rear Trunk Decklid Spoiler, Tinted Windows, Valentine One
Modifications: RDSport Quad Exhaust, 20x8.5 and 20x11 HRE 943R, Vorsteiner CF Decklid, Dinan CAI

Hello fellow E60 members,
A friend is considering a 2007 535i and wanted to know the following:
1. Is 2007 535i a good year to get? If not, what is a good year to get a 535i that is mechanically solid? Are there any years he should steer away from?
2. What are common mechanical issues or problems he should be on a lookout in a 535i?
Lastly, any other advice or suggestions you can think of regarding getting a 535i will be very helpful!
