Got the new US M5 brochure today. Shows start/stop button and new key fob. Also has new iDrive controller--looks like machined aluminum--very nice, Here's a pic--a bit blurry, but it's hard to take pix from a brochure:

What does the new key fob look like? Like the e90's/e65's?

Yes. I had a E90 loaner yesterday, and the key fob is very nice.

Damn it. Howd u get it... dealers are stingy... especially ones where you didnt get your car from them. That ones too far for me to goto.

I've got the brochure - looks great. Does anyone know if the idrive knob is machined aluminum? Would be nice...

Hmmm ...........The M5 that I saw and sat in at Niederlassung in Munich had the same iDrive knob as out E60's except the silver paint was slightly more matt.....to better match the silver base plate around the gear shift knob.

This one looks good though It's probably for 2006 Model Year M5's while the one I saw was a 2005.
