Got the new US M5 brochure today. Shows start/stop button and new key fob. Also has new iDrive controller--looks like machined aluminum--very nice, Here's a pic--a bit blurry, but it's hard to take pix from a brochure:

...........The M5 that I saw and sat in at Niederlassung in Munich had the same iDrive knob as out E60's except the silver paint was slightly more matt.....to better match the silver base plate around the gear shift knob.
This one looks good though
It's probably for 2006 Model Year M5's while the one I saw was a 2005.
