Hi guys, Well I certainly have had trouble with my M5. First it went in for Excessive Oil Use and No heads Up. This seems to be fixed now. Then I week later no gears v!!!

Back in on the flatbed truck and a Completely new SMG gearbox fitted at 8,000klms.

Gee I hope my luck gets better...................I love the car but never had this trouble with my Audis ( S2, S4,S6)

The SMG transmission is definitly a Hi Tech transmission and they tried something new with this one vs. the m3. I guess just some of the kinks weren't worked out. Hope your luck gets better!

Hi

Apparently the Pump in the transmission fails. Its not the first.................You cannot buy just the pump so they put in a new transmission.

Gee Im glad it was under warranty, Imagine having to pay for the repair !!!

Its a 2005 Build. I hope yours will be ok ! At least you will get the 3 year Warranty ( If you are In Australia)

Yes its been a bit dissapointing...........................but I did " bounce" a CLS 55 Today and doesnt it sound nice at 8250 in M mode !!!!

That noise does help drown out the problems I have been having !!!! And the Toff in the CLS 55 should go and get another cup of tea...............
