I AM SO JEALOUS RIGHT NOW!!!

I ran this same scenario by my wife. She met me with the "save something for when you turn 30" excuse. I?m turning 27 in Feb, but I?m afraid, I might splurge this summer.

Awesome car bro!

Congrats! Looks great. I would urge you to put on a set of winter wheels (BMW OEM is called style 184) as soon as possible and not to venture out without them.

Thank you all for your comments, I feel like a proud father (of the car AND of course my kids)!

hinckley - please pardon the poor arrows in the attached photo but maybe this will help. 1. electric thigh support slides in and out. 2. power adjustable width support - really cool when it adjusts while driving! 3. the seat pivots here to bring the whole upper 1/3 of the seat back closer or further from your body. 4. headrest power adjusts up and down. There are no other adjustments to the headrest or the width of the seat that I can see. Admittedly, I have yet to read the manual all the way through.

UPENN545 - go for it! She will forgive you if you share. Besides, the sounds from the engine under acceleration would make any woman swoon. Ok, maybe not.

Snow in the driveway is really not indicative of the roads. They are clear and dry, just caked in salt. Unfortunately I will probably keep it put away the rest of the winter. My 330 only got 12K miles in over 4 years of ownership. A fair weather friend you might say.

wow that's sweet! Enjoy! How close are you to Goshen and Elkhart? We pick up RV's and cargo/race trailers there from Forest River. Love to see that thing in the flesh

Three weeks ago I was absolutely crazy over a Boxster S. Then my wife convinced me (told me no) that I couldn't trade my 330Ci on anything that was less accomodating to our two kids. On a lark, I came in and pulled up the BMW website for the M5 and the 550. She liked the look of them so we decided to go and drive the next weekend. While test driving the 550 I jokingly asked the sales guy how long the waiting list was for an M5. I about choked when he told me he had one coming in within two weeks and they would sell for sticker.

So, long story short...it's in the garage! I live in central Indiana and we have snow on the ground so all I could do was look at it all day today. Driving it home last night was a blast, ran it up to about 110 for a second. What a blast, tons of power but ultra controlable. Going that fast in the M was like doing about 70 in the 330.

It's pretty obvious to me that whoever wrote the old song "Let it Snow" didn't have a new M5 sitting waiting on them!
Awesome. Straight to the point, huh
