new M5

My Ride: 2006 M5 - Black Sapphire - Black Interior - Walnut Trim
Three weeks ago I was absolutely crazy over a Boxster S. Then my wife convinced me (told me no) that I couldn't trade my 330Ci on anything that was less accomodating to our two kids. On a lark, I came in and pulled up the BMW website for the M5 and the 550. She liked the look of them so we decided to go and drive the next weekend. While test driving the 550 I jokingly asked the sales guy how long the waiting list was for an M5. I about choked when he told me he had one coming in within two weeks and they would sell for sticker.
So, long story short...it's in the garage! I live in central Indiana and we have snow on the ground so all I could do was look at it all day today. Driving it home last night was a blast, ran it up to about 110 for a second. What a blast, tons of power but ultra controlable. Going that fast in the M was like doing about 70 in the 330.
It's pretty obvious to me that whoever wrote the old song "Let it Snow" didn't have a new M5 sitting waiting on them!
So, long story short...it's in the garage! I live in central Indiana and we have snow on the ground so all I could do was look at it all day today. Driving it home last night was a blast, ran it up to about 110 for a second. What a blast, tons of power but ultra controlable. Going that fast in the M was like doing about 70 in the 330.

Congrats. Did you get the car @ Dreyer & Reinbold in Indy? I'm in southern Indiana (near Louisville) and will keep an eye out for you burning up and down I-65. What color did you get? Cant wait to hear more. I'm soooooo jealous!
