Ok so Im used to a 6 speed Z06 manual, with the SMG what settings can I get the best performance? Power button on, and what tranny settings work for you guys? Again sorry for the stupid questions, I am new to this car

But the short answer is, go into iDrive to set your M button. Max bat-out-of-hell setting would be DSC Off, P500S, S6 (fastest shift). If you have adaptive seats then you can also set sensitivity level here as well. Once you've done your selections, all you have to do when you want to go nuts is hit the M button on your steering wheel. Just be careful with the power on tap, especially since DSC is off.
BTW, C6 Z06s are still faster than this car.

Thanks for the info, I know the Z06 is faster, I had an older model 2004 (still crazy fast with a pro charger) - but needed a car with room - so the M5 looked perfect. I meant beat up on my friends stock vette not a new Z06
