Need some new back tires ( oops! DSC was off too much!!) and i have pricing for the Michelin Pilot Sport ZR 19 285/35/19 at around 650$ CAN installed.... YIKES.. any alternative tires that anyone recommends?? im in Canada.

That is the problem with 19s. Poor selection in that size, and prices are extremely high. Stick with 18s for better pricing and choice.

Have you guys used Michelin pilot sport A/S ? I live in NY and since I use this car a daily driver
without sacrificing too much performance what do you think? I dont want to get dedicated tires as
it's too much of a hassle...

doubt he had a choice in the matter, he probably has his OEM 19" wheels...down sizing to 18" wheels on an m5 would be blasphemous

We don't see enough snow to merit a dedicated set where I'm living at the moment. However the temps do get low, which does not bode well for summer tires. The Michelin PS A/S are my tire of choice. Unless you're autocrossing, the performance characteristics are negligible at best. Nothing will beat them in rain, however.

Sorry for a late reply but I like the Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics. They are available in the 19 staggered sizes and have worked very well for me. Although they may only save $20-$30 per tire over the PS2s.
