Despite having read what you've written about how great the car is, I couldn't imagine what a fantastic car the m5 really is. The car is beyond words - it made me laugh outloud of sheer joy.? ? ?

Congratulations!!!

Thanks!

Every morning I wake up, I have to dash down to my garage and look if it?s really true - that I own a M5

The car is so enjoyable to drive that you never want to stop driving.

Still haven?t checked out all setting, closing in on 10000 km

If I may ask, how many times have you used the M launch? Am I correct to assume that it induces a lot of wear and tear? Is there some recommended maintenance related to M Launches? Also, which mode do you usually drive in routinely while not test driving or speeding? Though I would reckon it would be rare to drive this car in a lazy mode.

Thanks in advance.

I have used Launch Control one time during which the rear tyres span for 2 - 3 sec before getting good grip.

Normally I drive in either S5 or D2. S5 whenever I shift manually ( never uses S1-4, because they are to slow for my taste ) and D2 for lazy driving and with passengers not used to sportscar driving ( mom and dad... ).

The M5 actually works quite well in lazy mode driving
