The list is missing the SWEDISH supercar - Koenigsegg CCR - it did the lap in 7:34 min.

It set a new record for the fastest top speed on the D?ttinger H?he straight, 313 km/h.

Go SWEDEN GO!

And the time for the SL 55 amg is strange. A sl 55 amg can't possibly do better than the m6 on a track.
man give up. You cant always prove everyone wrong, especially when these are confirmed results.

So you saying they gave the m6 to an incompetent driver? you reckon you could do 07:30 with it ??

I left many cars off the confirmed list--just providing those that we might be particularly interested in--those that might be thought of as being in the M5/M6 peer group.

Those times aren't that relevant imo. Some times are achived with super proffesional racind drivers while some are not. And the time for the SL 55 amg is strange. A sl 55 amg can't possibly do better than the m6 on a track.
The data definitely contain noncomparabilities including weather. Can you suggest more relevant data that contains such a large array of autos? Despite the noncomparabilities, I assess the overall relevance of the data to be pretty high. The drivers and manufacturers, including BMW, obviously think the data are relevant in producing bragging rights or they would compete on the Ring for good times and publicize the results. Also, if BMW wasn't proud of what the M6 did and didn't believe Ring results to be relevant, then why would the Company apparently be happy about the M6's result?

Ok, gotcha!

Couldn?t resist the Koenigsegg, being Swedish and proud of our only car manufacturer left!

The Koenigsegg is WAY out of reach for me

I can try...
kidding...anyway. I don't reckon anything with the m6, i just reckon it should be quicker than the merc. That's it. It should be relevant to know the conditions when both cars were timed (both times very dry ore one time dry and the other time a bit moisture) and the MOST important thing the drivers. Better yet only 1 good proffesional driver should be enough.
Hmmmm now i remember TG testing the SL but i can't remember the time and if it was tested in wet or dry or byt the black stig or the white one. I remember a wet lap...

i would presume that if the companies were confident enough to officially publish the scores (100% official times right Don?), then they would make a run under the best possible conditions.

You know that //M spend 1000s of laps on the nurburgring... they only pick the very best i suppose when it comes to bragging rights
