I saw the WORST wannabe ever this weekend on 101 South in San Jose... get this.. the douche added an M5 badge between the BMW roundel and the 750Li badge.. that's right on a 7 Series... so basically it looked like ///M5750Li... Why would somebody do this?!?!
I pulled up along side and it was some family oblivious to the dirty looks I was giving them...

I have the M-Sport pack on my 550....Here in Canada it comes stock on all 550's. I absolutely love the M5 but none of the M options on my car have anything to do with wanting to look like an M5. Truth is...I can't really afford an M5...Too pricey...and gas thirsty for my pocket...having said that..if I had a car that looked like an M5...it would be an M5!!!
The side grills and M badges and quad exhaust are going too far in my opinion. Those are M5 specific characteristics....only M cars have the side grills....only M5's have quad exhaust but the body kit is a BMW style option available to most BMW cars in the entire line...just like the AMG body kits is available to most Mercedes. Simply a styling choice!
Either ways...like I've said before on this forum.....whatever floats your boat! it's not like faking a M5 is harming anyone...just making you look like you want to roll heavier than you can really afford...not a good look!

I don't get why some people get a 525 or something and dump like $15k of mods in it...why not just save that money for an m5

I have M5 rims, M5 front, Mtech sides, and love every second it takes to walk up to my car. Sometimes, (so pathetic), I'll go to an empty parking lot and walk away from my car to see it from a distance. I love it that much. So sad. I need another friggen hobby. Modding cars makes me broke!

there is a black e39 530i...
he put m5 fender badge , m5 emblem in the back.... and put m5 wheel sticker(one on m wheels) on the break calipers....
and he called itself m5 package....
i was laughing so hard

Last time I checked, I believe the price difference between a 525i and an M5 was a bit more than just $15K...
So technically, one can wait and save more on an M5 !!
