This is directly to M5 owners.
I was just wondering what you guys think of other people that have 5ers and have the m5 kits on their cars...
Do you look at them and laugh?
Do you appreciate the love and care that they have put into their cars?
Are you complimented?

oh and im not a fan of the m5 badges on non m5 cars just an FYI

I would think owners of M5's are just amused by "replicas". When you have the real thing why would you look down on anyone? Besides, the kits are fine, it jsut gets ridiculous when you add the badges.

i dont have an "m" or the mtech kit but i dont see an issue with it unless theyre badging the car as an "m". i think people do it more for style and not to imitate the "m".

I have no problems with people making it look like an M5 but just dont put the badges on. Everytime I see a car with a badge higher than it really is I shake my head and think why do they have to lie and make others think they're driving a "better" car than what they really have? Especially if they get caught, how embarrassing is that?

Good point, besides, we all need to remember we are still driving a 5 series. It's not like we are driving an 86 Chevy Caprice here. So leave the badges off and be proud of what you have, you own (or lease) a BMW - which is still more than 9 of 10 people can say.
