My first post here, so hello to everyone!
I am hoping to pick up my E60 M5 on Friday and will be replacing my RS6, so I thought I would use this topic as my first reply!
Having had my test drive of the M5 the other week, I was rather suprised at it's rather lack lustre performance and was wondering if the power button hadn't been set, but it had. The power delivery is just so different to the RS6, as the RS6 gives such a huge sensation of speed and acceleration compared to the M5 straight from the off. Mind you, once the revs pick up the M5 really starts to get into it's stride and the sound of that V10 is sublime, which reminds me I must get that Tubi Style ordered! SHMBO and sister were in the car as well, and also thought it didn't feel as fast, but looking at the numbers on the HUD, it was of course flying. Can't wait to get my hands on the new beast, but the RS6 really is a hell of a car.
