Had a great ?high speed? run with an RS6 and a motorbike (didn?t catch the type) this afternoon. Coming back from the travesty of an F1 race this afternoon, I noticed some halogens in my rear view mirror approaching. I pulled over into the right hand lane, and admired a silver, fully loaded (4 guys) RS6 with a sport bike close behind. They were definitely looking for some open road.
Of course, I pulled in behind, looking for a little excitement after what had to be the most boring F1 race ever held. I shifted into 4th at around 90 mph, and fell into line, about 8 cl?s behind the bike, and about 10 behind the RS6. Sure enough, as soon as traffic cleared, the RS6 nailed it. I had anticipated the opening, and had floored it just a bit beforehand. We had nothing but clear road ahead, and we were off ? what a convoy!
Well, it surprised the hell out of me, but I stayed right with the RS6. The bike stayed right on his tail, it looked like he could have passed him pretty easily. I stayed right there, for the whole run, even closed a bit to 8 CL?s all the way up to over 140 mph. At 145 mph I hit the redline in 4th, and was going to slow, but traffic came up, and our fearless leader slowed and pulled over, so the bike and I did the same.
We continued our drive for a while ? I pulled up next to the Audi and gave a big thumbs-up, and they responded. I was surprised they didn?t pull more ? but they did have 4 guys to my one ? probably about 500 - 600 extra pounds. I couldn?t get next to the bike to check it out, but I?m sure he had a good time too. Didn?t quite make up for the non-race though?

**cough** RS6 = twin turbo V8 = 450HP Vs. 545 = NA V8 = 325HP **cough**
he either had some aditional lead taking up weight, or he must have NOT been on it allll the way, because the RS6 will move! these two cars are NO comparison whatsoever.
545 Vs. (B6/B7) S4 would be more like it, since the new V8 puts out about 340HP

My Ride: E60 "Stripper"
Now C6 "Stripper"
I had a run in today with an Audi A8L 4.2 this guy did not appreciate being behind me and high beamed me several times. Traffic was too heavy for cat and mouse so he went around me and made his way into the rightmost lane then made his way ahead of me about a 1/4 mile.
As soon as traffic opened up he didn't stand a chance.
It seems to me that every Lexus, MBenz, Infiniti etc. wants to race when they see a BMW.

The 545 is THE car that can kick asses...
where i live you can found lots of lexus, infinity and Cayennes...
mainly each day i have a race in my way home to office and vise versa... it is fun to see the faces of the lexus drivers when you make them eat your dust
i wonder what an M5 can do with those jerks...
regards
