Today BMW announced that the M5 will get an manual tranny.
No extra cost compared to SMG.
At this moment it will only available in the USA.
Those lucky @$^&!
It will not come in Europe because there are not enough requests fot it.

I for one would sure not buy it even if it would be offered in Europe. SMGIII will be perfected soon and no manual can match that. And letting aside the downsizes i heard will come with the manual setup... No brainer for me

BMW manual shift throw is notoriously long. It fits wells for those who loves rowing the boat!
One needs to drive both back to back to see which one suites better. I couldn't imagine if it has 7 gears to row, it'd drive like an 18-wheeler
