First month + bank fee + Acquistion Fee = $2822

Don't waste another minute, buy the M5 now. You know in your heart you want to do it!

My dealer JMK BMW, in Springfield NJ actually told me that the M5 leases would get better later on this year.
They have a couple of M5's in stock now in the colors I would want, but my salesperson told me to wait.
He said from his experience, as it gets closer to the new body style M5's (2010) release, the lease rates get better on the current body style. If the rumors of the 2009 M5 at 550hp are true, the current M5 leases will even be more attractive.

So I will wait. All my nice cars are still hibernating anyway this time of year.

I posted this on the E60 board so I figured I would run it by you guys, too:

I just came from my dealer. My 550i should be here in a couple of weeks and I am so looking forward to getting it. Today, however, he made me an incredible deal. 2008 ///M5 fully loaded, active seats, full leather, soft close doors, etc etc for no money down, 7 MSDs @ $1340/month for 24 months, 15K/yr. The only problems are that I would still need to pay my final 2 payments on my car @ $986/month on my 06 550. I would also miss out on my BMW CCA rebate of $1000 and let's face it, $400 more a month is $400 more a month no matter how sweet a deal it is. One more thing, the color is silverstone which I really don't want only because it's basically the same color I have had for my past 3 cars and honestly, I am sick of it. Another consideration is that my insurance would go up a couple of hundred dollars and the gas mileage would be even more dismal then on my 550. What to do.....hmmmmmm.
I am on my second M5 now, and I did that deal with no money down! I love the car. However, the gas mileage does sucks. seems like at 180 miles in town, i have less than a quarter of a tank left. Go check out my pics though!

Just reading your post now. I'm SURE you already decided to do it, right?!?

I guess I'll have to see if I'm sick of my silverstone color the next time I buy another M5....

I say based on my reading of your note you should stay with the 550i deal. In the long run you will thank yourself and some of us who recommended you hold tight.

There are many reasons for me saying this. it may seem like you are getting a good deal up front but you really not... You have to pay your last payments, that's no deal. Your insurance will go up, that's no deal. Your gas payments per mile will increase... All things look negative to me, especially since you expressed it might be an issue/concern.

I say, do yourself a favor and stick to your original deal. It will be just as satisfying and you'll still have a fast azz Bimmer!

Buy an M5 because you really want one. But as Mr. BMW points out there is no question it's expensive, much higher operating costs on top of an already more expensive car. Don't get it if you don't want the added cost. It's really one of those cars that makes no sense financially even with a "deal". You buy it because you want it, and need to have a "who cares if it costs me and extra $10k a year" mindset, otherwise don't do it.

It's definately more money per month to own and operate.....but you get to drive an M5! (you have to pay to play)

Westcost M5 is correct, "You got to Pay to Play."

If cost is a factor for you do not get the M5. If all you want is to satisfy your appetite for 500HP, then join the club!!!

I love the M5 and all that it has to offer. So the real question is, "Are You Ready?"
