I was torn between blue or silver. Once I saw I couldn't order the Portland Brown interior with the Interlagos Blue, the choice was easy.

Week 36 is one week before mine - you should see delivery in mid-October!? Lucky guy.? That interior combo sound terrific - I wasn't brave enough to get a red interior.? I'll bet it looks incredible - make sure to post pics.

Hey, wolverine.

Did you get a free key chain???

It seems that I am the only one that got a free keychain directly from BMW.

Anyway, I talked to BMWNA yesterday. It seems that my production week got pushed out from week 36 to week 37. Production date will be known next week.

It looks like our cars are schedule to be built starting week of 9/11/05.

I would think our cars should leave port by end of september. You will probably get yours 3-4 weeks after that (making it late october delivery).

I am probably looking at late october to mid november for delivery.

No Key chain, but with comfort access I don't plan on using one a lot.

November huh? I'll have to do some serious driving to get past break-in before the winter hits here in Cincinnati.

Actually, with the world of high technology (keypads, computer access), I only carry my car key!

it's funny that the only thing left for us to carry is house key and car key.

That's why you should call BMWNA ask for a free key chain.

House key--what's that??!! I can't remember the last time I used (or carried) the house key, or entered the house through the front door--always through the garage. I have a few nice key rings (usually as gifts from dealer) that are in a drawer somewhere. The less in my pocket, the better!

Yep, same here. Never enter through the front door, always the garage. I keep a bunch of keys in the console in the car just in case, but I never take them out.

Pretty soon, we'll have everything in the cellphone - ipod, internet, camera and our keys!

Very curious to know if you can order the piano black trim. When I upgrade my 545i to a 550i I want to order the piano black tirm as well. The price of ordering them is a little on the pricey side considering I lease but they look awesome. Keep us posted!!

I've decided not to order the Piano Black until I have some time to see how I like the aluminum. The dealer checked things out with BMW in Germany, and there is no possibility to order through Individual for at least another year. However, the dealer offered to order the trim parts for me, and install them if I want. Total cost would be around $2,000 including installation.

Alternatively, you can order the parts yourself, from the below website. I don't have any experience with them. I do know that BMW requires a chassis number for you to order the Piano Black trim.

Good luck!
