Hi Wolverine. So the test drive did the job!!! Piano black is great; especially on a lighter colored car.

I'm still mulling over my choice between the M5 and M6. Head tells me to go for the 5 but heart says the 6. Anyway, we've still not got the finalised pricing for the M6 so I've gotta wait a while longer.

My car is 'code 112' whatever that is, and I need to specify my options. The car is being built in September for October delivery. I ordered Silverstone/Silverstone full leather w/ pretty much all options.

The one thing they are checking is whether I can get piano black through BMW Individual. If I can't I'll just go with the aluminum. They're also looking into just getting the trim pieces and installing them after delivery.

Wow - I'm still in shock.

that meant that your car production has been scheduled. Just like mine. Mine will be build 1st week in september.

261 Rear-Airbags is $385
322-Comfort Access is $1,000
416- Power Rear Sunshades with Manual Side Window Shades is $575
465 - Fold Down Rear Seats is $475
610 - Heads Up Display is $1,000
X2xx/X3xx - Full Leather Interior w/Alcantara Roofliner is $3,500

I bypassed M-multi function seat and active ventilated seat as those adds extra weight. Plus i rarely use E55's dynamic and ventilated seat.

Here's my full spec sheet:

My colors/trim are Silverstone/Silverstone/Aluminum.

I have a list price of $81,200, and I ordered all the options:

261 Rear-Airbags is $385
322-Comfort Access is $1,000
416- Power Rear Sunshades with Manual Side Window Shades is $575
4MA - M Multifunction Seatsd with Active Width Adjustment is $1,900
453 - Seat Ventiliation is $800
465 - Fold Down Rear Seats is $475
496 - Rear Seat Heating is $350
610 - Heads Up Display is $1,000
655 - Sirius Satellite Radio is $595
X2xx/X3xx - Full Leather Interior w/Alcantara Roofliner is $3,500

Gives a price of $91,780

Gas Guzzler Tax is $3,000
Destination is $695

For a total of $95,475. Not bad for the best car on the planet!!

I've asked to get Piano Black trim through Individual. If it's not available, I'll take the aluminum trim and either stick with it, or order the Piano Black trim separately and have it installed here.

My build week is 37, the third week of September, for a delivery 4 weeks later. I'm starting to get impatient already.

You'll have no choice whether the wife and kid are there or not because you'll probably still be running in the engine. Anyway, take it easy and get used to the beast first before you unleash its full potential.

Enjoy!!!

Wolverine, I envy you your great new car!

Should be a great trip north. Which route do you take? I75 would be quickest I guess but no "fun spots" if you catch my drift. Even if you have to keep the dust cover on the engine the handling will still be eye-popping. Man, that new car will be almost as fast as Ted Ginn Jr. blowing past the Wolverine linebackers.

My is a week ahead of you. Week 36. I believe DEREKFSU is being build in the same week as mine. It looks like BMW is batching similar color together. It appears that a lot of people has ordered silver grey.

What is your production number??

Week 36 is one week before mine - you should see delivery in mid-October! Lucky guy. That interior combo sound terrific - I wasn't brave enough to get a red interior. I'll bet it looks incredible - make sure to post pics.

Hey, wolverine.

Did you get a free key chain???

It seems that I am the only one that got a free keychain directly from BMW.

Anyway, I talked to BMWNA yesterday. It seems that my production week got pushed out from week 36 to week 37. Production date will be known next week.

It looks like our cars are schedule to be built starting week of 9/11/05.

I would think our cars should leave port by end of september. You will probably get yours 3-4 weeks after that (making it late october delivery).

I am probably looking at late october to mid november for delivery.
