Well said on both points.

The seller is asking $3.9M, when you can get the new Grand Sport for way less than that
Doesn't anyone recall how smooth the Veyron ran in the Gumball 3000 at 210mph+ speeds?
Thanks. There have been a number of reviews from auto journalists who have ran the Veyron at or near its top speed. The reports are that it is remarkably stable. That's because it was designed from the get go to run at those speeds.

An E60, while an awesome car, was never designed to run 200 plus mph. That means that even if it has the power, due to killer mods, to run those kinds of speeds, it's a very dangerous proposition. At that kind of velocity, having enough downforce to keep the car planted and having the proper aerodynamics to prevent lift are key in keeping the car and its driver away from disaster. Of course, an E60 with 800 bhp must have mind-blowing acceleration. What I wouldn't do for that. My 550 is fast but its acceleration is not pin you back in your seat, take your breath away fast. The only car I've driven that had that kind of acceleration was a 2008 Corvette ZHZ that I rented from Hertz. 436 bhp in a light car produces shocking acceleration. Of course, the interior quality sucked royally.

Yup ... you know it wouldn't be so bad if they improved the interior as well

From that page:

"...."It could go over 200 mph, maybe 225 mph,'' he said. "I don't want to drive that fast, but what matters is how quick it goes from 0-60. I can pull up next to a Ferrari or Lamborghini at a light, look over, and they might start laughing. But when it turns green, I'm gone, waiting at the next light when they get there, and I'm the one laughing then.'.... "

"..."I shake my head every time I see him pulling away,'' said one Seminole County (Fla) police officer who did not want his name being used. "We all know who he is. But it's hard not to like him....''

"..Every time he pulls away from the Magic's practice facility or the arena, Gortat revs up the engine, reveling in the attention it brings him. He is happy to offer you a test ride as a passenger, or a chance to sit in the driver's seat and step on the accelerator just to feel the power...." Get it!!! any volunteer???

But I think that is true: M5 e60 with 810hp -> http://www.worldcarfans.com/7070319.002/81...ency-motor-cars

That is one sick M5 (aside from the tacky leather interior)

But for $350k, I would probably opt to buy 1-2 other cars

Me too (sorry BMW). Ferrari 599 or Lambo Murcielago would be on the top of my list. It pisses me off that BMW will not build a halo supercar.

I saw that Currency Car at Bimmerfest a few years ago. AFAIK, there has been no independent testing of that car that backs up their claims. There's a looooong thread about it on M5board that I have yet to read but seems like everyone on there laughs at this car.

The cool thing about it is that the turbos are mounted where the mufflers are at the rear of the vehicle.

Yeah it is the STS turbo style. It is patented by them: http://www.ststurbo.com/

With all the money in the nba and all the exotic cars owned in the nba, I highly doubt this is the fastest car. Does this guy think he is the only one in the nba that modifies their cars. Also I am willing to bet there are players that have either a Veyron or Koenigsegg.
