THIS 5 IS ONE OF A KIND AND COLOR IS ABSOLUTLY HEAVY, RIMS LOOK PRETTY SICK TOO, U DEFO GOTTA GET THE TINTED LIGHTS LIKE MY E60, CHECK MY PICKS.

MODS, U.K.
Very brave and no I will not be copying the effect. I can't help recalling the black wheels of cop cars when I see those, they were plain steel painted and frankly really uncool.

Has anyone thought about the effect on resale value, I suppose you could have it resprayed again at that point.

The other thing that would worry me is visibility to other drivers, it's OK having a stealth car if you are not driving surrounded by half-blind phone-using morons.

Finally the DeLorean was stainless steel, not Aluminium.
These days the best way to remove fingerprints from stainless steel seems to be plain water and one of those yellow microfibre cloths. In fact Megiars(?) sells one in their cleaning kit.

I borrowed one my wife uses to clean stainless kitchen appliances, it works a treat on satin stainless, perhaps it would work on cars painted in satin finish .

I stand corrected; I guess that's why we didn't go with stainless steel appliances in the kitchen!

Maybe I'm wrong, but doing this to an M5 seems so absolutely insane that I think the photo has been digitalized doctored!

I remember reading about your transformation on another forum. Was it 6speedonline? Forgot.

I think it makes the car that much more menacing. I've always considered the M5 as a dual purpose, jekyll and hyde type of car and yours is definitely the BEAST.

I think it looks really good (but the matte black not so sure yet)..if you are going to change the lip color make it red...the taillights gotta be smoked.

other than that..why didnt you just buy it in blackin the first place. I have an alpine white it hurts my feelings that you changed the color.. lol

I agree the white is sick, but in LA we started a trend. In a months time every white car had a black roof.
