Dynomat your E60
I am thinking abot Dynomating my E60 doors and trunk area. I am runnibg 2 12's in the trunk powered by a 600 watt amp. I was wondering has any one done this to their E60 and was there a noticeable difference in the sound .
Hi!
I put Dynamat into my doors and trunk few months ago while I was redoing my interior and upgrading audio. I put it only in the "roof" inside the trunk though. The difference is significant. The road noise is almost completely gone and the music can be heard much better on faster speeds.
I'm running a single 10" subwoofer with a 600W amp and I don't have any kind of resonations in the trunk or inside the cabin when listening at normal/reasonable volume. The only thing that starts to resonate if turning the subwoofer too loud is the inside of the parcel shelf. I've directed the subwoofer into the cabin through a gap that I made in the rear seat back plate.
Some pics of the project here (the Dynamating process starts on that page).

i used peel n seal from home depot. 2 layers just on the inside of the trunk where the rear speakers sit. that whole underside panel. i want to do the trunk lid. i did do the liscense plate as well. with my 1200 watts in the truck it doesnt rattle much at all. doing the doors is a good idea.
Just about any stereo shop would carry it.
I would agree - its heavy. At 4000lbs, I'd be thinking of ways to lose weight, not add it.
